Follow up workshops "Implementation of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements by Improving Environmental, Energy and Economic Efficiency in the Ukrainian Industrial and Communal Sectors"

Overall objectives of the regional workshops:
• CP/MEAs awareness raising among industries in the most polluted Ukrainian regions (Donetsk, Zaporizhya, Dnipropetrovsk) and strengthening commitment of the local authorities, municipalities, environmental inspections to introduce preventive environmental strategies and practical implementation of MEAs
• Follow up feedback from the industry representatives to compare/check conclusions made during the 1st stage of the ASME project

Expected outputs (short and long term):
• Selection of enterprises potentially interested in the implementation of CP pilot projects aimed to the practical implementation of the MEAs (UNFCCC, Basel, POPs)
• 5-10 potential PINs/PDDs elaborated for the submission to potential donors/financial institutes (SIDA, NEFCO, ect.)
• At least 3 pilot projects implemented in the selected regions (possibly each project for the appropriate MEA)
• Dissemination of results on the national level with the participation of all stakeholders
